Ries医生目前是Carson市Tahoe骨折和骨科诊所的研究生导师,加州大学旧金山分院骨科教授和加州大学伯克利分校的机械工程学教授。他在加州大学旧金山分校全职工作,直至2013年他来到Tahoe湖并加入Tahoe骨折和骨科诊所。Ries医生同时也每月在加州大学旧金山分校实施一些手术。

Dr. Ries is currently the Fellowship Director at Tahoe Fracture and Orthopaedic Clinic in Carson City, NV, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He remained on the full time faculty at the University of California, San Francisco until 2013 when he moved to Lake Tahoe and joined the Tahoe Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic. Dr. Ries also does surgery at the University of California, San Francisco on a monthly basis.
Dr Ries’ laboratory interests are primarily in the area of biomaterials used in total hip and knee arthroplasty. He has published over 200 peer reviewed journal publications. He served as c-editor in chief of The Knee from 2005-2012, and is currently an Associate Editor of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. Dr. Ries is a member of the Hip Society, Knee Society, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Orthopaedic Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons.
