Dr. Eduardo Salvati is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Weill Medical School of Cornell University，attending Orthopaedic Surgeon, Hospital for Special Surgery and the New York Presbyterian Hospital，Director Emeritus Hip and Knee Service, Hospital for Special Surgery.
And he is the past President of the American Hip Society and past Secretary-Treasurer of the International Hip Society.Dr. Eduardo Salvati is a world-renowned hip surgeon who has dedicated his career to the care of thousands of patients, to the education and surgical training of hundreds of residents and fellows, and to the improvement of hip surgery and continuously serving in leadership roles.
For his work in basic, applied, clinical and biomechanical research to refine the complex aspects of total hip replacement, he has received several honors, including four American Hip Society Awards, the Nicholas Andry Award of the American Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons, and the Lifetime Achievement Awards of the Arthritis Foundation and of Hospital for Special Surgery. As long-standing recognition for his work, Hospital for Special Surgery has established a Chair in his name.
Research Description：Dr. Eduardo Salvati's research has concentrated on the pathophysiology, etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and perioperative factors related to complications following total hip replacement (THR). He has also studied the prosthetic design and clinical results of THR.
