She has been a Phd supervisor of 6 Phd Students, is editor of the journal ‘Strategies in Trauma and Limb Reconstruction and reviewer of 8 scientific journals.She has published more than 65 papers in peer reviewed journals, has presented more than 50 lectures as invited speaker internationally and was involved in more than 100 poster and podium presentations. She has written chapters in 8 textbooks on elbow pathology.Dr. Denise Eygendaal has been course chairman of more than 10 AO courses , is lecturer for the national course for orthopedic residents and responsible for the residency training program in het region. She has been a board member of upper extremity expert group of A.O. international, a board member of Eastern European Educational Committee of SECEC, national delegate of European Shoulder and Elbow Society (SECEC), treasurer and board member Dutch AO Society, founder and president of Dutch Orthopedic Ladies Society (DOLS), president of the scientific committee Dutch Society for Arthroscopy(NVA), president Dutch Orthopedic Residents Society (VOCA). In 2013 the ‘Anna’ price was awarded on outstanding scientific research and education and in 2001 the ‘Mathysen’ price was awarded for her Thesis ‘medial instability of the elbow joint’. In 2014 she was awarded the price for the ‘best surgeon’ of the country.
