Professor Francesco Benazzo, full professor of Orthopaedic and Traumatology, is chairman of the Clinica Ortopedica e Traumatologica dell’Università di Pavia, Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, and of the residence program, since 2002. He is membre of the scientific committee of Efort in the segment Lower limb, and specifically on the knee.
He is active member of different scientific societies worldwide (Sicot, Isakos, ESSKA, EKS, Sigascot, SIOT, IORS, AAOS), and honorary international member of Bulgarian Orthopedic Traumatology association (BOTA, and of the German Arthroplasty Society.
His scientific interests include: stem cells research, joint replacement, overuse syndromes due to sport activities.
